Around 1930 Lewis Davenport featured Mickey Mouse in his stage act. The family also obtained permission from Disney to feature Mickey on coloured silk handkerchiefs. The family was therefore fond of items which showed Mickey. These two badges, found in the collection, probably belonged to the Davenport family.

This came from Ivydene, the Davenport family home, and is therefore considered to be an association piece of the Davenport family. The glass front of each compartment hinges forward at the top, and then backwards, much like a typical library bookcase. Today it houses items from the Davenport Collection.
