Search Tips

The search engine is not case sensitive.

When searching for an act such as Fred and Ned, it is worth searching both Fred and Ned and Fred & Ned.

The Search Box will search all the detailed contents for each poster. Examples:

Type in the name of a performer, theatre or town and the items which include that search term will be listed. So, searching for the word Davenport will bring up Lewis Davenport, The Davenports, George Davenport, etc.
Where known, poster dates are included in the form 10 October 1924, so use this format when searching for a date. Searching for October 10th will not find the date. If you type October 1924 into the Search Box, all items which include the adjacent words October 1924 will be listed.
