This is an ink jet printer copy made from an original poster.
The theatre is St. George’s Hall and the printer’s date is 29-2-32, ie 29 February 1932.
The bill includes Lewis Davenport Magician.
This was a show from the British Ring No. 25 of The International Brotherhood of Magicians. Although Lewis Davenport is shown topping the bill, he did not appear as he had a week’s engagement in Northampton. George Davenport appeared in the show. He is billed as Gilly Gilly in magic of 1932.
As far as Guinness can trace, the artist, whose initials J.G. appear on the poster, was John Gilroy.
Lewis Davenport often visited the Leipzig toy fair in Germany. This badge from the family collection would have been his own, or that of his wife Wynne.
