Production of silk handkerchief in tumbler

The magician instantaneously produces a silk handkerchief from the empty clear glass. It is possible to fill the glass with water prior to the production of the silk handkerchief. The metal base of the glass is stamped MAGO. We are grateful to Steffen Taut for pointing out that MAGO was a trade mark used since 1934 by MAnfred GOttschalt who owned the Manfredo magic business in Germany. Steffen also kindly provided a copy of Manfredo’s instructions.

The apparatus illustrated here was once the possession of Cambridge magician Claude Perry.
