This is a plastic version of a novelty that goes back at least to the 1930s. To witness the magic, a metal dagger, which is attached to the novelty, is pushed through the small hole in the clear front until it protrudes from the other side. When a lever on the side of the novelty is moved, the sword held by the pirate magically penetrates right through the solid dagger. The effect is miraculous. Made in China for Forum Novelties, Inc.
