In 1935 Davenports bought the assets of Maskelynes Limited from the receiver, including many pieces of apparatus, some of which were in lockable storage cases. The keys shown here have labels identifying them:
Small key fits Inventions. This refers to the Cod Inventions which Oswald Williams used to perform.
Large keys for case with Red and Green Box in – and also fits The Monkey’s Paw. Both these tricks were performed at Maskelynes in the 1930s.
