Guzzling Gussie novelty

Made in England by Bell. As it says on the box: ‘Offer him a drink from the wrong end of a glass. He sways, he turns away, he staggers. Present it properly & see him try to swallow the glass’. Unfortunately the small glass is missing, inside of which the magnet fits. We have the magnet though, and so John Davenport purchased a small metal tankard into which he glued the magnet. You can see Gussie trying to swallow it in one of the photographs. The illustrated advertisement is from a Davenport catalogue.
