Chianty (sic) Bottle Imp novelty

The fact that Chianti is misspelt suggests that the bottle is of non-European manufacture. The bottle imp is a simple but ingenious ‘catch’. You show someone that the bottle can easily be placed flat on the table so that it lays on its side. However, when you give it to someone to try, they find this is impossible to achieve – it immediately flips up into a standing position on its base.
