Harry Hemsley drawing in Wyn Davenport’s autograph album

When Lewis Davenport was performing at theatres in the 1920s and 1930s his daughter Wyn was a keen autograph collector. Her autograph albums survive in the Davenport Collection and include two pages completed by Hemsley. This one is a pencil drawing which includes Wyn’s name hidden in the man’s beard. Hemsley has used Wyn’s real name, Wyn Ryan, rather than using Lewis’s professional name Davenport. For his other autograph page search for N3765.
