Produced by Pollock’s Toyshop, in support of the Wilton’s restoration fund, the diorama card is an illustrated peepshow of Wilton’s in the 1850s. With an illustrated backplate on which to write a message, the card folds down flat and comes with an envelope. Bought from Pollock’s toyshop in Covent Garden in 2016.

Designed by Masahiro Chatani. According to a note which comes with the card: ‘People say, “Happiness lives over the mountain”. The three-thousand mountain steps in a small town in Kyushu (southern part of Japan) are familiar to people. It is as if angel steps were leading you to a heaven far away.’ This is a very elegant pop-up card. Made and printed in Japan. Produced by A.G. Corporation.
