The poster advertises the Saturday night evening show of the IBM British Ring convention in 1934. According to the write-up of the show in ‘The Budget’ of July 1934, not all acts appeared. The act billed as Davenport and Company Magic of 1934 was George Davenport.

The bill includes The Devonports lightning magicians and illusionists: Everything at their fingertips: No time to talk. The correct name of the act was The Davenports. It consisted of Lewis Davenport and his first wife Julia.

This newly written play by Jarek Adams was about Victorian magician J N Maskelyne. The play was reviewed by Anne Goulden in The Magic Circular, July 2014, page 195.

The bill includes Lewis Davenport the Bewilderist presenting a series of bewildering novelties supported by Winifred Wynne. The poster advertises the week starting Sunday 7 June although the variety bill starts on the Monday of the week.
