Trixie Queen: ‘Siffleuse in ‘Sleight’ Suits’

Trixie Queen (born Ida Emily Want in 1906) was that rare performer: a female male impersonator magician. Not only that, she was a siffleuse – a skilled whistler – and both these talents resulted in professional work for her. Trixie had a varied and successful career which her daughter Kay Murray shares here in conversation with Roy Field.
