Signed card found between metal plates sealed by rubber bands

This is an example of finding a signed card in an impossible location. A spectator chooses a card and signs it, before putting it back into the pack. The pack is shuffled and in due course the spectator looks through the pack to find their signed card. It has vanished. The card is eventually found between two metal plates which have been in the magician’s pocket all along. The plates are tightly bound together by a large number of rubber bands, some of which also encircle the leather wallet that contains the plates.
