21st consecutive year, 1893-1894. According to the book on the Egyptian Hall by George Jenness, the first production of ‘The Artist’s Dream’ was in September 1893, so this programme cannot be earlier. Jenness also says that at Easter 1894 Devant was billed as presenting electric shadows, in addition to sleight of hand, and that the sketch ‘Elixir Vitæ’ was revived. This programme is therefore probably between Easter 1894 and May 1894, the end of the 21st consecutive year. This is consistent with the pencil date of 17 April 1894 on the cover.
