Psycho, which is described in the programme as Maskelyne’s ‘most recent production’, is on the bill. Psycho was introduced in January 1875, so the programme date cannot be earlier than 1875. When Psycho was first introduced, he only played whist. However, on this programme, in addition to whist, Psycho does more effects. It is therefore possible that the date is 1876 or early 1877, at which time the style of the programme was changed.
