Three cards are chosen by a member of the audience. The magician places them back in the pack which is then held in this houlette. Under the command of the magician, the cards rise one at a time out of the pack. The illustrated Davenport’s advertisement for this trick tells us that the trick was presented by Mr C O Williams at The Magic Circle on 11 March 1910.
