Brunel White was a well-known magic dealer and author in Britain during the 1930s. He also contributed a magic page to the World’s Fair, a newspaper which catered for travelling showman and which was widely read by magicians. George (Gilly) Davenport and his wife Eve were invited to the wedding of his daughter. We don’t see Gilly who was behind the cine camera, but Eve can be seen in the front row of the line up of guests. She is the lady on the far right, as seen on the screen.
The best place to spot Brunel White is when he’s standing outside the church, on the left, together with the other parents of the bride and groom. He rarely appears on the film because he was busy taking photographs of the event.
