An old print of Kew Bridge sent to G.A. Cooke by J. Hasarde, Comedian. 10 January 1899

J. Hasarde was a comedian and character actor who spent many years working with J.N. Maskelyne and George Cooke. He was often a key actor in the Maskelyne sketches. By 1899 Hasarde and Cooke would have worked with each other for many years. Cooke lived close to Kew Bridge and so this gift to him from Hasarde was most appropriate. Later on J. Hasarde started to use the name J.B. Hansarde, sometimes spelt Hansard.
