The Edward Bagshawe Magical Productions film

In the 1920s and 1930s Edward Bagshawe featured prominently on the UK magic scene. He was well known as an author of important magic books, as a creator of innovative tricks and as a dealer.

We do not know whether this professionally produced promotional film was an experiment, or whether it was distributed as a sales aid, perhaps to be shown at magic societies. Advertisements for two of the tricks on the film can be found in Edward Bagshawe’s Magical Journal around 1930 and 1931. The advertisements are illustrated here. The likely date of the film is early 1930s.
