Photographic postcard of Ernest H.R. Collings

Ernest Collings (1882-1932) was the brother of the magician Herbert J. Collings and a friend of D.H. Lawrence. The signature of the photographer which is in the bottom right-hand corner is hard to read, but we know it is Borup. This is because we have a photograph of Herbert J. Collings, also illustrated here, which has the same signature on the front and the name Borup on the reverse. Charles Christian Borup (1875–1953) was a prominent Danish-born photographer with a studio at 156 Streatham High Road, London.
