The apparatus includes two coloured handkerchiefs with rings on the corners. By placing the rings of the red handkerchief over the red rod, the handkerchief becomes a bag which is given to one volunteer to hold on the end of the rod. Another volunteer holds the yellow rod with the yellow bag on the other side of the stage. The plot is simple: six coins are placed in each bag and magically three transfer from one bag to the other. These words do not do justice to the entertainment value that can be derived by a skilled children’s entertainer. Sold by Ken Brooke’s Magic Place. Lubor Fiedler invented the Gozinta Box. In his trick, the magician shows a box, opens it and takes out the box inside. To the amazement of the audience, the magician opens up what was the inner box, and promptly places inside it the box which started out on the outside. The trick can be repeated to return the boxes to their original positions. This particular Ali Bongo item is a variation. In addition to the boxes changing places, the magician discovers a 50lb weight (or 20kg for continental audiences) and a cannon ball inside.
The pack was specially commissioned by Davenports to commemorate their Centenary 1898 – 1998. This version of the Davenport demon trademark had been drawn by Ali Bongo. The cards were manufactured by Carta Mundi in Belgium.
