This portrait was found in this frame, with no glass to protect it, in a Davenport store. The image has suffered bad light damage and some physical damage.
John Davenport put this display together to showcase some of the ephemera in the collection.

The leather frame has a padded leather cover which is hinged at the top. This protects the photograph during travel and, when bent back, acts as a support so that the photograph can be displayed. The photograph was taken in Berlin.
